Does Versa have that capability?
Versa Electronics has multiple SMT lines as well as automated through-hole capability. We
have extensive experience with mixed technology placement.
3) I have long lead time components. Is Versa
Electronics willing to stock?
Absolutely! If you have product requirements in the foreseeable future, Versa Electronics
will work with you on a plan to maintain stock for longer lead time components as well as
any hard-to-find, obsolete or custom parts.
4) How soon can Versa do a quick-turn assembly?
We understand the importance of time-to-market deadlines. Versa Electronics has extensive experience
in quick-turn production and will work with you to expedite your delivery.
5) I use a JIT or MRP system. Is Versa experienced
in working with these systems?
No problem. Versa Electronics is continuously monitoring all open orders and customer forecasts. We
have had years of experience in working with customers to ensure timely delivery. We are
ready to seamlessly work with you and your fulfillment system.
6) I’m looking for someone to do everything. Does Versa Electronics offer
full device assembly?
Yes. Versa Electronics offers a host of value-added services, including Chassis/Box Builds and
Final Assembly/Packaging.
7) What types of value-added services does Versa Electronics offer?
Versa Electronics proudly provides the value-added services of Cable/Wire Harness assembly, Special
Rework, Chassis/Box Build, Final Assembly/Packaging, BGA removal and replacement, Jumper and Haywire
Installation, Component Replacement, Custom Modifications and many others. Just ask!
8) Can you help me convert to RoHS?
Versa Electronics has extensive experience with helping to convert and/or confirm Bills of Materials
as being RoHS Compliant. Let us help you!
9) Are you RoHS and Non-RoHS capable? How do you differentiate
the two?
Versa Electronics does offer both RoHS and Non-RoHS assembly processes. We have system and process
identifications in place to maintain full control of whichever process you require.
10) Do you offer testing?
Versa Electronics can work with you, whatever your test requirements. Automated Optical Inspection,
Production Test, X-Ray BGA and soon to be included ICT are all onsite. Through contract partners,
we are able to service your Flying Probe, Temperature Cycling, RF, Cable Scan or any other requirements.
11) Does Versa Electronics have engineering & design assistance available?
We provide a wide variety of specialized engineering services onsite and through contract partners. Design
for Manufacturability (DFM), Component Selections, Functional and ICT Testing Engineering, Product
and Design Engineering Support, Manufacturing Engineering and End-to-End Manufacturing.
12) Is Versa Electronics able to trace via lot number or component?
Yes. Using FIFO inventory control and inventory auditing, we are able to track component usage
to specific production lots.
13) Can you help with new product introductions?
We work with customers to help reduce time to market by quickly and effectively produce
pre-production and prototype products. Along with manufacturing we also offer
engineering support and DFM services.
14) Does Versa Electronics stock common and/or difficult to find components?
Yes. Versa Electronics inventories over 6,000 component types at any given time. We
keep stock of common passive components as well as custom and/or hard to find components that we
have previously needed, which allows us to reduce your assembly pricing and lead time.
15) Does Versa Electronics offer rework services?
Absolutely! We are able to offer SMT, base board, BGA, Component Rework, Masking Repair
and a variety of IPC techniques along with” tricks of the trade” our technicians have performed
over the past 15 years. These skills enable us to accomplish high-quality PCB rework that only
trained hands can perform.
16) Does Versa have a process for ECO management?
Versa Electronics has an established process to handle in-process engineering changes, often
without delay in product delivery.
